Dieser begleitete J.C. auf der dritten Weltumsegelung und W.B. auf der HMS Bounty. Das Natural History Museum London eröffnete 1881 und basiert auf kolonialen Sammlungen wie denen des Londoner Arztes und Sammlers H.S. und weiteren geerbten Sammlungen diverser Weltreisender.
